As a life-long resident of White Plains, I consider myself very fortunate to have been raised among family and friends dedicated to agriculture, farming, and education. I attribute my successes in life to the work ethic, dedication, and determination instilled in me by the people of this great community. White Plains has always been my home. As the Agriscience Instructor and FFA Sponsor at White Plains High School, I strive to connect the school and community by building relationships among students and members of this wonderful community. After high school graduation (1996) I attended Auburn University for 3 1/2 years before coming home to Jacksonville State University where I received my Bachelor's degree in Education (2001). I also received my Masters Degree (2010) and Educational Specialist Degree (2017) from Jacksonville State University. I have teaching certifications in Physical Education, Biology, Health, and Agriscience. In 2001, I began my career in Education at Oxford High School where I taught Biology and Physical Science (2001-2007). At Jacksonville High School, I taught Health, Biology/Earth Science, and was the Alternative School Facilitator (2007 - 2020). I became the Agriscience teacher at White plains High School in June 2020. I am married to the most amazing and beautiful person in the world, Kathan Harper. Together we share six children: Olivia, Clancy, Scout, Brittany, Journey, and Bailey.
