Pleasant Valley Boys Cross Country Receive Championship Rings
2/11/2019 - The Pleasant Valley Boys Cross Country AHSAA 3A State Chamiopn team received their championship rings during a school assembly. Each athelete was recognized before the student body and received their ring and a minature Blue Champion trophy. Principal Mark Proper and team coach Brad Hood both spoke during the ceremony.
From Coach Hood:
"It was a season that the team determined before the summer workouts began that this would be the year they win it all. Their mindset was to be champions and they acted and worked like athletes destined to be champions. We focused on TEAM before ME and spent half of our practices and races working on this concept. They are the first boys state championship team in school history, and the first ever public school to win the 3A State Title. Also won the Calhoun County Championship along the way!!"
Shout out to these young men for an amazing season!
