  • Health Science provides opportunities for students to learn skills necessary for a career path in healthcare.

First year students develop a basic understanding of the healthcare system and acquire skills common to  many health careers.

Second year students continue skill development and clinical experience in career-specific healthcare specialization studies.

Community based clinical experiences and internships in local hospitals, physicians' offices, and nursing homes allow students to practice healthcare skills under the supervision of experienced healthcare workers.

American Heart Association CPR (Heart Saver, BLS), and First Aid certification is possible.

Healthcare Occupations Students of America (HOSA), the national student organization for healthcare students, is an integral part of this program. Participation in the local, state, and national HOSA organization provides opportunities for students to develop leadership, civic, and employability skills.
