I have been teaching high school English since 1999. I came to Wellborn in 2002. I became our school librarian in 2013, and I love it. I enjoy helping students find the answers they are searching for. I believe the love of reading is the most important thing we can give our children. I began reading to my own children even before they were born. 

I have been married to a wonderful man for 29 years. We have two loving children, a son who is now at GSCC and a daughter who graduated from UAB. Both are graduates of WWHS. We also have five furry friends who call us mom and dad. 

I enjoy reading, wheeling, hiking, swimming, sunning, mountains, and exercising. My favorite foods are seafood, tacos, and ice cream. I love 80's music and concerts. I love to eat, but I hate cooking and housework. I love to cut grass and maintain my pool and plant flowers. I love to travel but hate packing. My favorite book series will ALWAYS be Harry Potter! I don't watch a lot of TV but when I do it is usually Supernatural, Grey's Anatomy, or Vampire Diaries.
