The Woman of Purpose Scholarship application is made available annually during the Fall/Winter for consideration of scholarship funding for the ensuing academic year. Female students may apply for scholarship funding online during the application acceptance phase. Only female students who have submitted the application will be considered for scholarship funding.
Scholarships are awarded for one year only and are non-renewable. Individual scholarship awards range from $1,000 - $2,000.00 based upon criteria detail and availability of funding.
Standard Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Woman of Purpose Scholarship a female student must:
Be currently enrolled as a high school senior in the Calhoun County School District
Be successfully admitted to a nationally accredited community/vocational/technical college
Plan to enroll as a degree-seeking undergraduate for the upcoming aid year in which scholarship funding is being applied
Have a minimum cumulative high school/transfer GPA of 2.70
Plan to register as a full-time student for the Fall/Spring semesters
