Jonathan Shaw’s robotics team members are big fans of Little Caesar, especially after he, along with America’s First Financial and Pepsi, gave their robotics team a $1,000 check to spend on their program.

“The thing that inspired me to write in for the grant is that our kids have worked so hard this year. They have accomplished a lot by winning two tournaments, and some other awards. I would like for them to be able to continue their work and hopefully we can compete on the national level,” Shaw said.

With this money, the team of seven students hopes to compete at the Vex World’s tournament in Kentucky. The extra cash will help pay for travel and registration expenses.

“To see the work that they have put in building, and programming, and doing their engineering notebook, and all the thought they put into their robot… for them to go to a tournament and win some awards validates what we have done and the work that they’ve put into the robots,” said Shaw.

Shaw says he is extremely grateful to the One Class at a Time sponsors American’s First Financial, Little Caesar’s Pizza and Pepsi. If you would like to apply for the One Class at a Time grant, click here.
